Bala Cynwyd, PA, November 21, 2008: Liberty Healthcare Corporation and its affiliates achieve The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for health care staffing services. The Joint Commission awards Liberty Healthcare Corporation the Certificate of Distinction for Health Care Staffing Services.

Liberty Healthcare Corporation and its affiliates first achieved Gold Seal Approval™ for health care staffing services on October 21, 2006. At that time, The Joint Commission awarded Liberty Healthcare Corporation a Health Care Staffing Services Certification. With the 2008 certification, Liberty Healthcare Corporation continues to meet national standards addressing how health care service providers determine the qualifications and competency of their staff, how thy place their staff and then monitor staff’s performance.

Significance

“Organizations that contract with Liberty Healthcare Corporation can look to this certification as an assurance that Liberty Healthcare Corporation demonstrates a commitment to providing and continuously improving quality services,” says Michele Sacco, Executive Director, Health Care Staffing Services Certification, Joint Commission.

As a national trend, health care organizations are increasingly using contractual arrangements with staffing firms to fulfill their needs for health care professionals. The Joint Commission certification program was launched in October 2004 to offer an independent, comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm’s abilities to provide competent staffing services.

“Certification recognizes Liberty Healthcare Corporation's dedication to providing professional and administrative staff that are qualified to provide safe, high-quality care to patients. We’re proud to achieve The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval," says Judith Shields, Vice President of Quality Improvement.
